Are you interested in the history of the Gulf states - perhaps British policy towards then and involvement in conflicts? There are many (thousands?) of declassified British Government documents that can be seen in the National Archives. However, they can also be found on a section of the United Arab Emirates National Archive:

I thought that there would be more interest that this to be honest. Typing in 'Polaris' reveals plans to deploy the Polaris carrying SSBNs East of Suez, whilst searching for 'Tornado' brings up details of the difficulties in sales of the Tornado aircraft, and 'Mirbat' is also an interesting search.

There are things on there that our own National Archives have not digitised.
