Apple iPod Touch

Quick idiots question. I saw the new iPod Touch yesterday & was very impresssed.

I have a Wireless Hub at home although it is connected to PC with a Network Cable as a techy type chap said that a Network Cable is more reliable than using a Wireless Network Card.

If I got myself an iPod Touch would that work OK with a my Wireless Hub.

From the Apple Website it states that :

Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)
Nike + iPod support built in
Maps location-based service6

Is this the same as my Home Hub or is Wi Fi the commercial free stuff that kids use in Starbucks & MacDonalds buckshee ??

Thanks for any advice.
no its the same thing all you need is to find the wi fi name and just enter your password and you are good to surf the tinterweb at your pleasure on ur ipod as long as you are within range of the hub
yea i have the wi fi down stairs and my bedroom is two floors up and i still have quick internet access on my ipod it should have the range of about 10-15 m with walls and looking up to 20+ with out any blockages so you should be fine with it
