Apartheid - alive and well in America

Taken from The Daily Mail 20/07/07

The first purpose-built Roman Catholic town in America will open its doors to the public tomorrow/today.

Ave Maria, 10 years in the making, has been called the 'cleanest town' in the U.S.

Pornography will be banned and shops will only sell 'family orientated' goods, but reports that the town bans birth control have been denied.

A Catholic university for more than 1,000 students and a cathedral-sized oratory with the largest crucifix in the U.S at 55ft high will open later this year.

The £200million town is the dream of Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan, who sold his business in 1998 for £500million.

More than 11,000 homes are being built on the site, which is spread over 5,000 acres near Naples in South Florida.

Streets will have a religious theme with names such as Assisi and Annunciation.

Mr Monaghan, 70, said: We wanted to build a major Catholic university in the southern part of the U.S. with the highest standards. We will be offering a dynamic Catholic and educational community.'

And everyone has a go at the Muslims for not letting anyone near Mecca!!!

yes, just because anyone does it, Muslims are then entitled to do the same.

forget about principles and moral laws.

if you rape and kill young female relatives for being out of line, it is an open season ticket for muslims to do the same.

oops, infact they already do it, called honor killings.

the article above doesn't even say that people of other religions cannot buy a home there either.

another propagandist from ****stan.

So just where does it state it's a "White's Only Town" I feel it's probably going to be a good cross-section of various colours/creeds that have a penchant to bother God.

I bet it's going to be the most dull place to live in the USA in years to come. Leave them to it!

No they don't!

Especially some of the Jewish members of my family who painted the Mecca airport terminals.

If only the oxygen you wasted writing this dribble could have been saved...

Apartheid - Afrikaans for:
A policy or practice of separating or segregating groups.
The condition of being separated from others; segregation.

Very dull place yes, but not for the Priests in the area!!!

The real question is- who the fcuk in the right mind would WANT to live there if they weren't high on Jesus? It looks like Stepford!

There's nothing in law to prevent you joining a pack of pikeys, but I don't see people knocking down the doors of their caravans to live like that.

Kinda funny that no noise about this has made the news here in the States... ah well... it's a pipe dream that'll end in being a normal secular town... if the town even makes it that is.

I saw a brief blip on the news about this. They showed some of the schooling, all Jesus, all day. Guess you don't need math when you got Jesus.

Shame, it's not really apartheid, but it sure as hell is religious intolerance.

The cornerstone of the Bush Administration's approach to matters fiscal. We don't need to worry about racking up the national debt for our grandkids to pay off because the Apocalypse is coming.

I'll ask around, thats only about an hours drive from where I work. I would guess it's mostly farmers. In reading their policies, if you are over 80, you don't have to pay taxes. Interesting.
