Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have completed Briefing and was planning to do Main Board over the summer however I came down with appendicitis and had to have an operation to have the appendix removed does anyone know if this will incur a deferral at the Main Board medical.

If it does cause a deferral would it be possible to go onto Main Board and complete it and then wait for the deferral to expire before attending Sandhurst or does the deferal apply to all AOSB activity?

Your best course is to phone your CSM at the NRC or, alternatively, simply present yourself at your medical and see what they say. Appendicitis is not uncommon and is usually complication free but there may be a deferral period to ensure that everything has healed before you start hauling yourself around group races and individual obstacles.
