AOSB medical - feet

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Feet. Yuk. I've just been reading the medical requirements posted elsewhere on this site, and they have me worried. Does anybody have any experience of how much attention are paid to feet, and how to-the-rule they are about areas of reddening? It is stated that any reddened area is instant barrier to entry. I have, on the knuckle of one of the toes, a small area of reddened skin (beginning of a corn? I'm not sure...), and it would be awful for this to be a no-go.

It may be due to badly fitting foot-wear (I think my riding boots may be guilty, actually, and if so that's easy to fix), but I'm going to book in with a podiatrist at the weekend to get an official verdict.

Any insight would be very welcome to allay my current fears.
