Anyone in any TA units around Wolverhampton / Birmingham area?

Just interested in what oppurtunities there are? (if there are any lol!) also any information on what jobs I could do if I joined?

I've been considering joining the RMR for a while after doing a lot of training recently but am intrigued about the TA.

I'm interested in anything really (sigs, REME etc etc) but was wondering what options there are around these areas.

Gracias!!!!

How can I help?
I'm guessing your from he Wolves or Birmingham TA??

What sort of things do you get up to when on weekends / drill nights? I'm sort of weighing up options at the moment and aint really got a clue what sort of job I want (or would like to do!!) in the army/navy.

I want to get involved but it would be nice to know what i'd be getting involved in!! A bit of inside info would be cool...

General rule of thumb-

If you don't have a particular preference for what you do, go to the most convenient TA Centre and see if what they do interests you. But go inside and ask - people often have misconceptions about a unit's role and the jobs that are available. e.g. there are some interesting jobs in the RLC (so I'm told).

If there's something particular that you want to do, then consider looking further afield.

If you want to use your civvy expertise, or if you have awkward work commitments, try Specialist Units (aka nationally recruited TA) but be prepared to travel.
