A friend of my Dad's has just died and one of the items that has passed to my Dad is a picture that he painted. The painting isn't labelled and Dad is trying to find out what it is....looks early to me, possibly WWI vintage? He was a member of the 'guild of aviation artissts' so i assume it is a real plane rather than made up.

Anyway...does anyone have any ideas...or possibly ask the spotters on pprune?

  7. Comparing it to the Shuttleworth example, I'd call it a Blackburn No.9 Monoplane
