    I think this is another example that writing op-eds based upon media reports inevitably leads to faulty analysis. So, too, does an ignorance of the fundamental law of war principle of right authority, an 800+ year principle that makes a clear distinction between actions authorized by governments and those carried out by armed non-State actors -- something Lt. Col Solis failed to grasp in his op-ed.
