After all the debate, so much for an English manager getting the job

    Solari offered job
  2. Wise decision if true.

No Englishmen are up to the job and Big Phil did knock England out of the last two tournaments :p
  3. Frankly, who cares? It's just a game, and a very dull one at that. Overt commercialism has overtaken any pretence that anyone involved does it for the country.
  4. Said it before and I will say it again...the man for the job!!

  5. Too right squire

    Sorry couldn't resist that

The home grown contenders were on to a loser as soon as the likes of Stuart Peace got mentioned. Great player but no where near an England manager yet. He has only had aseason at City. Curbishley and McClaren off the pace experience wise, as their league position reflects.

At least Solari has won the World Cup.
  7. Still think it should be Peter Taylor, and suspect there's something fishy going on.
  8. Perhaps, as a Brazilian, he didn't want to ever risk travelling on the tube
  9. Ah, I've stumbled across the anti-football prejudice - now I just need something on the 'working class' and I've got the full set!
  10. It was probably a language barrier, Beckham's Spanish is coming along nicely but it means he has so little time for the English course.
  11. He wont be allowed to play in london, Most brazilians just get six shots.
