Anneliese Dodds - Whats the point?

Including it’s leader #WhatsHisName
You are (understandably and not uniquely) getting confused.

WhatsHisName replaced WhatsHerName (with the big boobies) as the leader of that party with just under 1.7% of the MPs in the current HoC.

The WhatsHisName you are thinking of is not the same WhatsHisName who replaced WhatsHerName (with the big boobies).

This WhathisName is SirKierWhatHisName who took over from ComradeJezzerWhatHisName rather than the other WhatsHisName who is actually SirEdWhatsHisName who replaced JoWhatsHerName (with the big boobies).

I hope that clears the fog of nonentityism a little.

nb. Probably fair to say WhatsHerName’s big boobies have more political credibility than the pair of SirWhatsHisNames

From wikipedia:
"Born in Aberdeen and privately educated at Robert Gordon's College, Dodds read Philosophy, Politics and Economics as an undergraduate at St Hilda's College, Oxford and subsequently took a masters in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Government at the London School of Economics."

Another one who went to public school, did PPE at Oxbridge and then became a professional politician. Why am I not surprised?
According to the Sunday Times, her replacement has almost exactly the same background:

'Allies of Starmer say Dodds, an Oxford-educated economist, is highly intelligent but has failed to communicate effectively the party’s vision. Rachel Reeves, the shadow Cabinet Office minister, is the favourite to replace her and has become one of Starmer’s closest confidantes. Reeves, who also went to Oxford and is an economist, has won plaudits for exposing Tory cronyism in the awarding of government personal protective equipment (PPE) contracts during the pandemic.'

Just do not get it, do they?

Quelle surprise, she's an alumnus of the London Socialist Establishment where extra credit is earned by irony-bypass cultural appropriation of ethnic garb, advanced debate on the socio-economic efficacy of legalising skunk, banning white men from everything except apologising and paying for everything, trust fund justification studies and attending sit-ins to demand that the cafeteria is declared a nuclear free, autonomous, anarcho-syndicalist republic....

No wonder she's made such a positive impression in the shadow cabinet.

I have reported the originator of this thread for gratuitous discrimination against other shadow cabinet mongs. They are also entitled to know what the point of them is...

  • Jonathon Ashworth - Why is there even a thing called Jonathon Ashworth?
  • Lady Nugee of Thornberry - Those White Van Men are not going to sneer at themselves you know.
  • David Lammy - On Mastermind (stop sniggering at the back)... “ Who acceded to the English throne . . . after the death of his father Henry VIII in 1547?” Answer: “Henry VII”. Nice one Mr Thicky. (private tuition by the Abbottosaurus obviously)

... 95 members of the shadow cabinet but apart from family and close friends, nobody has ever heard of 95% of them - it doesn't get much more pointless than that.

Ashworth fills a hole in the space-time continuum, Nugee’s presence causes it and Lammy is the denseness within it.

Or some such shit.

All that education oxygen - wasted.
FOC

The charge is being calculated by Abbott, will disappear in the accounts and be blamed on the Tories.

Marvellous, when do I start?
That would be a hell of a job:

‘We’d like you to draw up a shortlist of candidates to be Shadow Chancellor. They need to be intelligent, economically literate, have integrity and a desire to work for a better future for the country and the people.’

‘That’s a tall order, am I restricted to Labour Members or can they be Tories? That would be a bit more realistic.

I think you’re underselling yourself. No good socialist apparatchik would work for poverty wages like that.

I am sure a lot of members of this site paid a few pennies to have a vote in electing new Labour leaders

I see that Ms Dodds has been promoted to the position of Chair of the Labour Party vice Ms Rayner. Why is Starmer shuffling the deck chairs on his sinking ship?

What about a role for Ms Abbot? The nation needs cheering up!

Abbott for Shadow Chancellor would be comedy gold

So he's moved around a coupe of B-listers, promoted the Pornstar named one and sacked a useless old has-been.

He's really getting to grips with this taking responsibility lark
