Angela Rayner PM?

Angela Rayner expressed her opinion of the present Government last night to party members at a regional drinks reception last night attended by various people.

"I'm sick of shouting from the sidelines, and I bet you lot are too. We cannot get any worse than a bunch of scum, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, absolute pile of banana republic, vile nasty, Etonian, posh piece of scum that I have ever seen in my life' then adding that 'she had held back a little.’

She has also declared herself as wishing to be the Prime Minister.

It would seem only fair then, that others, who could potentially be the electorate to whom she would be working for, should examine her credentials, opinions and suitability, or otherwise, for the job she clearly seems eager to put herself up for.

Personally speaking, I'm sick of foul mouthed semi-literate scum like her, expressing her opinions in a manner that are more suited to a gutter gathering of ill-mannered drunken louts. It does seem that her opinions were being expressed at a gathering where some socialising was taking place, and indicative of how Angela behave when she's had a few. But then in fairness there has been a number of occasions when drink does get the better of individuals and as Plato's saying went based upon a comment proverb, 'First, Bacchus is mery, for wine moderately taken maketh men ioyfull: he is also naked; for, in vino veritas: drunkards tell all, and sometimes, more then all.

And of course who the hell am I to be expressing any sort of opinion like that. But then that then would also then apply to her.

Being genuinely curious, what then are her credentials for the position of PM?

Well...she's been elected to represent Ashton-under-Lyne three times.from 7th May 2015to present. Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 4th April 2020, Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster 9 May 2021 - Present, Shadow Secretary of State for the Future of Work 9 May 2021 - Present.

Hardly a glittering career of graft and selfless service. Actually more of a loudmouthed Jane just arrived.

Her self admitted childhood was rough and tough. She has definitely progressed a long way from it which is laudable, her parents according to her were evil and didn't give her love. Her potted history... given by her is that she did not have a privileged upbringing, never went to public school or university. Left her local comprehensive at 16 with no qualifications and a baby on the way. Labour’s Sure Start centres gave her, and her friends, the support they needed to become better parents and to grow and develop as young adults. Started working as a care worker for Stockport Council where she gained experience in public services providing one-to-one care to elderly people in their own homes, looking after their personal hygiene, preparing meals, listening and showing empathy. Put forward by her women work-mates to speak for them as a union rep with UNISON because “I was mouthy, and I would take no messing from management.”

She rose through the ranks of the trade union movement with direct experience of low pay, long hours and zero hours contracts, to become the most senior elected official of UNISON in the North West of England. In 2015, Angela Rayner became the first woman MP in the 180-year history of her Ashton-under-Lyne constituency, soon promoted to the shadow whip’s office by the new Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn. Went on to hold the position of Shadow Pensions Minister, before becoming a member of the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Secretary of State for Education. March 2020, elected as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party. Also Shadow First Secretary of State, Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Shadow Secretary of State for the Future of Work.

Prime Minister material? Well I could say that Maggie Thatcher made an extremely good PM while also being certain that Angela and others would violently disagree...but Margaret was considerably better educated than Angela, and unfortunately some reasonable amount of basic education would seem to most to be just the minimum requirement. Having said that even though Diane Abbot has a degree it is extremely difficult to gauge that when she opens her mouth and then attempts to consume her leg.

So taking a leaf from Angela's book and being extremely rude and 'mouthy' I think that would be, as big a mistake as Labour made when they put Jeremy Corbyn forward as a possible PM. Well perhaps not being quite as rude and mouthy as Angela would be, but then I suppose I had expressed an opinion about her earlier.

Gobby and resentful trade union leader, straight out of a low paid menial job. No education to speak of, no managerial or project management experience, no experience of high pressure environments and deadlines, nor any understanding of how industry, finance and international relations work etc. No obvious diplomatic skills, charisma, decorum or self-restraint...

I know that politics sets a low bar these days - on both sides of the House - but that's taking the piss.

She is an uncouth pig.

I used to live in AUL and the locals would vote in Godzilla if it wore a red rosette.

Took me 16 years to get to get to WO2 for a reason. And to start my journey i had to have some qualifications and pass Army education on the way. Taking her as an example, i really should of binned school, fed and washed some old dears, made some poor parenting choices early on, forgot what little spoken English i was taught to speak like a gutter trout and pour disdain on anyone else who did complete education, had a career and didnt push out children before 17.
Some could then say its harder to get to WO2 than it is to be Prime Minister!

Hmmm… Ant Middleton was binned for calling protesters ‘scum’, I suspect Grangela will get away with this because ‘woke’…

As someone from inner city Manchester (collyhurst) I bitterly resent the attitudes she and her like espouse. I grew up with a hole in the roof that I still remember watching the snow come through.
Fast forward to the eighties and I had a single parent girlfriend from where I grew up on benefits earned more than me who employed twenty blokes doing dirty work.
I remember being aghast at her having central heating on full with two outside doors open and not giving a jot about it.
That's when I changed to Tory.

All very admirable on the surface, though not really what I feel makes for a suitable Prime Minister.

I've never had an issue with being governed by those who are 'privileged'. It has been my observation that those who feel they are 'of the people' are more readily inclined to forget their roots and generally put their interests first (look at some of our past staunch senior trade unionists and their proclivity for 'skimming the cream') .

Just look at the SNP for example. On the surface it's filled with people whose backgrounds we should find 'more relatable' than your typical Eton-educated Conservative. However look at the mess Scotland is continuing to find itself in, people generally out of their depth in roles they cannot properly execute to the detriment of the devolved nation due to their lack of ability.

I read a bit about Mogg-Rees recently. He is incredibly privileged and on the surface as unrelatable to me as probably any individual is. Despite all this, his raw intelligence, formal education, erudite polite disposition, his ability as a politician to competently execute the role of a member of parliament is arguably second to none among his ministerial peers.

She also claims that her mother fed her shaving foam and dog food as she (the mother) was not educated enough to read the labels.

1. Why would she be looking for food in the shaving and toothpaste aisle?

2. Why would she be looking for food in the dog food aisle, and didn’t the picture of the Springer Spaniel on the front of the tin give her second thoughts.

I’m not 100% convinced that this is what actually happened.

JRM is my in laws local MP, he is often seen walking the High St when he’s at home, and always has time for anybody who wants a chat.

There was programme on the TV some time ago, Benefits Street(?) or something like that which spawned a character who was known as White Dee, if Google fu is working.

As authentically rough as the side view of a badger's botty on a wet Sunday, totally without education, but allegedly with the proverbial 'eart of gold'. Who was the 'wise woman' of the locale and herself quickly became some sort of celebrity via TV.

The reason for referencing this is that it proved an object lesson in how to get noticed. Ms Rayner may or may not be authentic in the role as mustelide, but she has certainly learnt how to get noticed, so perhaps not so daft.

Cast alongside a robot, she's going to gain a lot of comparative publicity. ,

I listened to her being interviewed by Justin Webb on yesterday's 'Today'. She comes over as another of those who are in politics for reasons of ego. She was very evasive about the issue of Trans rights vs woman's rights and wasn't properly pushed on the issue.
Not an impressive figure. Typifies the resentment of the Left, which is destructive, and the 'We'll tolerate anything - immigration / rape gangs - because we're caring and compassionate'.
As others have said, her present rank is a sign of a general decline in the quality of our MPs.

Angela "Scum" Rayner was a grandmother at 37!
Birth control not a good word in her family.

I know bugger all about investment banking, brewing home cider or cricket, but I've no doubt he'd be more readily inclined to have a polite chat with me than most of those who I'm supposed to find 'working class' & subsequently 'relatable'. Based on absolutely nothing other than a positive impression of the man, I'm sure constituent contentment for his area is also commendable compared to hundreds of fellow MPs nation-wide.

That's sort of close to my mental image of Queen Boudicca.

What did Boudicca do?

She incited a tribal mob to rebel and go on the rampage. Her rabble army torched everything in their path; raped, tortured, murdered, looted, and carried out human sacrifices. They burned London, Colchester and St Albans* before heading for the Midlands. Boudicca finally led her followers to complete annihilation at the hands of a disciplined fighting force.

I give you... Woke Labour and the new Queen Boudicca!

*Yeah, OK. I can see the temptation...

Awful woman. Tries to hard to be ‘with the people’. In HoC questions she used the word “quid” a lot rather than pound. It didn’t fit. Seemed like she was trying too hard to be working class.

Another of Labours disappointments. Why the party keep trying to push people like Abbott, Korbyn, Rayner to the forefront is unknown. I suspect a PR team straight from the student union.

Even with Covid, shutdowns, gas problems, fuel problems I suspect the tories will still landslide an election!

Labour is lost.. They need to start being (and presenting) proper politicians.
