Andrew Murray

I think Andrew Murry the tennis player should be reminded that he is playing for Great Britain not Scotland. His remarks about the English football team is regretable.

Why is it that the Scotts are so anti English. We have let them have their own parliment, They have more than there fare share of the taxes, they can vote on English issues where as the English cannot vote on Scottish issues. Whats wrong with them. ?

Re. Andrew Murray. I would support him at Wimbledon before his anti-English remark but did notice he behaved like a spoilt child when things didn't go his way. I overlooked that.

Now I think he's just a lanky, goofy spoilt Scottish arrse and I hope the Wimbledon crowds give him $hit every year.

I think anti Scottish feeling is growing in England due the the attitude of the likes of Murray and the leader of the Scottish parliment.

nothing at all to do with your p*ss poor attitude then?

Maybe the English attitude towards the Scottish would explain.
But before you start i'm not anti English just an observer.

I've got to say I found his comments to be somewhat childish. I'm British, he is a Brit, I was hoping he would do well at Wimbledon as he is a fellow Brit.

English, Scottish, we're all bloody British. Both countries serve in the British Army. I don't have a problem supporting a fellow Brit, or a fellow British team. Why is it so hard for others?

Oh, FFS. In terms of football, Scotland and England are entirely independent (ask either FIFA or UEFA) Get over it and fucking grow up. We don't support you. Deal with it.

Andrew Murray is an annoying teenager; but not as annoying as his mother on Radio Five live, the smug bugger
If Murray was one of mine - fecking right I would be smug. Of course Timbo was never anything other than magnanimous as were his supporters (who seem to be diminishing in number)

It is only a game of tennis FFS (unless you are in line for mega bucks, and nationality goes right out the window then, rightly so  )

If you really want to see anti English bile from Celts, have a look at some of the football chat sites. There are some very sad people out there who base their whole life around waiting for some English team to lose. What a bloody waste of time. I really do wish that Scotland or Wales could actually win a World Cup of some kind........ any bloody kind. Perhaps it would give them something to focus on other than that of whinging or whining about the English.

FFS, some Scots actually believe that Brave Heart was for real.

Rumrunner - you are a star, perfectly correct in your comments. And I am sure when the southern football leagues start up again there may be some English treams in lower Divisions (although it seems that the 1st 5 Divisions are all Champions :? )

There has been very little anti Scottish feeling in England.

Why do the Scotts hate the English so much. ?

Im scottish , i have been brought up to balieve i am scottish and that im not a part of the Uk, this doesnt mean to say i hate the english i have some good friends that are. what i do not like is the fact that people in england get piss off at the scotts becuase we will not support your team , tbh i would of supported england in the world cup if i didn't have the media and the politics demanding that i did so , of course thats going to piss alot of people off in scotland. I also pisses me off that andy murray says something that has a right to say and english people jump down his throat about it , christ its only ******* football, it not like the scottish people or troops are turning round and saying we aint fighting in a war becuase English parliament decided to go in and do it !.

FFS I wish the English would win the world cup sometime to put us all out of our misery of having to listen to "we won the world cup in 1966"
I was supporting England today, i was shitting my trunks, and i'm from N.Ireland, but if roles were reversed would the English support Scotland,Wales or N.Ireland, i think not.

I will always cheer on Scotland against anyone other than England. Mind you, I always have a soft spot for an under-dog. Given that the Scots, by and large, an unfit, chain-smoking, heavy-drinking, deep-fried food eating bunch of smackheads, they are unlikely to ever qualify for the World Cup ever again and so will always be an under-dog. The Scots are sh1te of sport and they know it. However, they are not stupid. They have got being spoon-fed down to an art. Producing nothing of worth and having, at best, a second world economy, Scotland has realised this and further deepend its parasitic claws into the only productive part of the UK - England and the English. Rod Liddle sums it up perfectly in this week's Spectator:

' Instead of oppresing them, these days we reach into our wallets and subsidise them. Instead of ruling them, we let them run most of their own affairs, without complaining at their manifest incompetence, and even allow one of their number to control our national finances'.

Best of luck in the next World Cup, now get back to your pints of 'heavy', smack and domestic violence.

"Play up Andy Murray!!"

As I said Culhann, if you win a world cup, football, rugby or any bloody sport you will have a focus in life. You will then appreciate that you can’t take away that win through any amount of whinging. You will be able to shout about it though.
