I'm an American myself, and never new these boards existed. My nephew is an officer in the rangers, and I would be interested to get inside and see what the life is like. Your signature tells me you are/were a "Beanie"?. If so, hats off to you. Would love to hear some of your war stories.

Sizeable non-American presence on the technical/military sections, the politics section tends to be American-dominated though.

I sort of take exception to your signature, as Paratroopers normally ride on aircraft into the DZ in the enemys AO and fight from there, after their drop... so they get there a lot faster then Tankers amd/or any others!!

Fair point, though I learned the phrase when in the Irish military, and Ireland is somewhat short on paratroops.

Well there are plenty of Irishmen in the Airborne forces of both America and the UK to make up for it!
