America - its all a bit odd...

But he won’t if she was running away and not a threat.

But it doesn’t make her any less of O2 thieving moron, for putting herself in the situation in the first place. That could have been a gay pride flag, and the result would have been the same. Fecking with peoples property tends to illicit a response.

in a civilised non 3rd world country, stealing a bit of rag doesn’t warrant chasing people down the street and shooting them in the back.

IIRC in the 70's the American Nazis decided to march through Skokie Illinois, a borough with many holocaust survivors lived. town denied the permit to march the ACLU took it to the supreme court and the SCOTUS decided they indeed had a right to march swastika flags unfurled

justice Thurgood Marshall even agreed

On the face of it, that would seems to fly in the face of Schenk v United States 1919. That;s when Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr made his remarks about shouting "Fire" in a crowded theatre.

So that's yes but no but yes but no answer. He may get off the charge of shooting someone because she tried to steal his flag.

It's got **** all to do with amendments.

Sher tried to steal a piece of cloth. He shot her.

Maybe a cartoon will get through your blinkered dense cranium.

Not really - in one case, words can cause physical harm. In the other case, it’s mental anguish.

And nothing warrants shooting a two year old in the head

Now what was that you were saying about third world countries?

The USAF wear them in 'Blues' dress. During training they have this bizarre set up where one end of an elastic strap attaches to the sock and the other end to the bottom of the shirt: Each leg front and back. In somebody's screwed up mind, this keeps the shirt tucked in and the socks pulled up.

Navy chiefs use this set up too. ;)

Ergo why he was arrested and charged-

Feaster was charged Wednesday with a felony count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, the News & Eagle reported. He was being held at the Garfield County Detention Center with a bond of $500,000.

I see, so a one off of a kid getting caught up in the crossfire of a drug gang related shooting justifies Americans chasing people down the street and shooting them in the back..... which is very much not a one off incident in ‘Murica

On a less grimly serious note - Happy Birthday Yankees !

Her Britannic Majesty extends her felicitations on (somehow) surviving for another year:

Zizz....booom...and a positively restrained RAH! < limp flag wave >

I haven't and am not saying it justifies anything. What the man did by shooting the woman in the back is illegal and he has been arrested and charged accordingly with the crime.

However these days it would appear that shooting in the UK are becoming more frequent than you realize. Here is a another one a week later, do you believe these are gang related as well?

The above are the result of a quick search

The fact of the matter is old son, shootings in parts of the UK are on the up do a quick search you may be surprised and for you to describe or equate the United States to a third world country only serves to show your lack of knowledge of the majority of the country and it's people along with your childish use of the word ""MuricaNS " instead of Americans.

A happy Independence day to all our American arssers, have a good one folks.

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set to-day a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.
