    I always loved this stuff. When I was a kid we lived in the same apartment building as Harold "Doc" Edgerton, the MIT professor who developed this technique and used it during the Manhattan Project. Doc used to carry postcard sized pictures instead of business cards and gave me a number of them, sadly lost when my Mom moved after I was married. He did the famous pictures of a bullet passing through an apple and a milkdrop looking like a crown.
