I think its because people try to outdo themselves with Daily Mail type stories of the evil that awaits in london. There are shit places all over the country. There are half decent places in London where there isnt dark skinned individuals ready to corrupt the poor naive country people.
My Brother lives in a very smart part of London, my niece has been followed several times, and attacked, my brother used to meet her and escort her, or my sister in law but SW19 has several murders, Rachel Nickell comes to mind, and that poor French girl in the next road to my Brother

There's no such thing as 'being dressed like a slut'. Your post comes across as implying you think like the 'Somalis' you mention.
Nah, there definitely is such a thing as being dressed as a slut. Though, I'll be fair, I don't really use that term, I usually use 'Potential victim'.

Anyone who says 'You should be able to dress as you want, clearly doesn't live in the real world where people don't always follow the laws or cultural etiquette of the society they're in.

Sometimes simply because they aren't from our culture and in theirs, women are objects.

So yeah, a 14 year old girl going out with a skirt that stops just below her arse cheeks, a crop top with her tits pushed up and out and enough slap on her to hold up the Forth bridge, looks to, in this instance, those Somali males like a slut. They wouldn't look twice at a girl in trousers and a full top, because that's not what they associate characteristics of an easy mark with.

Also, I'm not going to pretend I'm on board with all this modern crap about dressing how you want. Plenty of women go out looking ridiculous and for want of a better word, like objects.

You all live in semi rural areas while also being experts on the dangers of london?
Ummm in my case Yes.
Brought up and lived in semi rural Wales, moved around the UK with work and spent 5 years living just off the Elephant and Castle and Kennington Lane.

Inner city London is no place for a naive 16 year old girl from the Shires.

Agreed. Spent many years in London. There were sizeable chunks I'd never dream of entering. Last time I was down to visit my mate, he escorted me to the train station. I laughed but he was deadly serious. Him and his family don't walk anywhere, it was that bad.

Are you in a part of wales that is nowhere near Swansea, Cardiff, Wrexham, Bangor, Rhyl, Neath or any one of the other Welsh shitholes?

Clearly London is the only place in the UK that is dangerous.

16 year old daughter wants to go to the big smoke on a public coach with mates , stop in a rented dive and see a band then come back the next day , there`s five others all 16/17 allegedly going , I`ve said no way , its not that I don`t trust her or her mates I just despise how London ticks, most of its residents and are fully aware of what goes on , your thoughts gentlemen and ladies.

(Offers to put her up for the night will be met with the contempt they deserve)
You are right, I only let mine (20 now) go to Plymouth for a night out at 16 if I or one of the other parents were there to pick them up. One of the nights I wasn't there one of the girls was in a right state, we think her drink had been spiked.
Better safe than sorry.

You did absolutely right, stopping her from going.

Maybe you should take her down there on a weekend, and show her some of the dodgier areas, to show her why you had worries.

Last time I went was about 8 years ago, and I never want to return....... just awful.

I worried about my thirteen year old going to a gig years ago, so I agreed to pick her and four of her mates up from school.
Fuck me it was an eyeopener.
I forgot what teen girls were like. As soon as they jumped into the motor they all stripped down and put there glad rags on with full make up.
I was very thankful that I wasn't pulled over with a bunch of teenagers in various states of undress in the car.

Maybe the real world is as it is because women 'dressing like sluts' is a term commonly used by many, rather than stamped down on.

For somebody in law enforcement to use it seems somewhat 'off'. No doubt similar thinking and usage happened with law enforcement personnel and other authorities in the recent grooming scandals.

I don't use such terminology; probably because I don't think in those terms. And it's highly unlikely that immigrants might learn to think differently while so many in our own culture deride women so easily.
