CornerShot is a weapon accessory invented by Lt. Col. Amos Golan of the Israeli Defense Forces in cooperation with American investors. It was designed in the early 2000s for use by SWAT teams and special forces in hostile situations usually involving terrorists and hostages.

Barrel is straight though, the whole action pivots instead

Boys were rechambered post WW2 for sale in the USA.
Legal reasons for that. By federal law anything over .50 (Less shotguns and Muzzleloaders) is classed as a destructive device which is a pretty involved licensing process

It and the German Krummlauf attachment for the StG.44 were featured on QI back in the 'H' series. Modesty forbids revealing who put them onto the subject.

Turreted Universal Carrier with 20mm Gun

Makes you wonder if these were trialled as attempts to confuse the enemy intelligence as to how many and where our tanks really were?

Mmmm. Given the location of the engine, I can't see that there'd be much opportunity to traverse the turret more than a few degrees.

20mm? Look more like a 37mm in a M3 turret. As mentioned above it's right over the engine so is either some sort of decoy or it's a bitsa made up by the museum.

Why not give Tony a tweet , he might have taken a photo of the plaque
Exactly, one of the good things about Arrse is we have tame Historians like @Archimedes & @Listy on here, but on twitter you have loads and loads of them and boy do they like to chat.

Twitter is a great mechanism for connecting to great academics and experts that love sharing what they know and engaging with the public.
