Psychics are frauds. Christopher Brookmyre wrote a book that was basically a novel-length kicking for both mediums and organized religion, and their links to politicians, that I quite like, as it exposes a lot of the psychic medium's tricks.

Oh yeah, I forgot to do a follow-up post to that post to clarify things.

It's called "Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks". Don't worry, the title still doesn't make sense in context.

AFAIK it's still available on Amazon's Kindle app, and possibly on Google Play's bookstore thingy as well. It's part of the author's "Jack Parlabane" series, and as far as I am aware it was the last of the books in that lot done in the first person. Everything got all serious biznezz third-person in the later books, like "Dead Girl Walking" and "Want You Gone".
