Went out to a helicopter job in Tanzania.
Aircraft a BO 105 had a number of electrical issues.
The fuses are unusual in that they all have clear domes over them and the tips are coloured to show the rating.
Also when they blow the colour burns off.
Looking at the fuse box I was surprised to see loads of missing colours.
In theory hardly anything should have worked.
Removing the fuses revealed that most were wound with copper wire.
Yet there were loads of spares in stores!!!!
Africa, Africa, Africa you just have to love it.
A well developed sense of humour helps as well.
