Air Force One and Marine One Replacements

How many miles of wall can he have for $5.8B ?

All of it, with change.

Back to Air Farce Wun: I read somewhere it is costing the US taxpayer, thats me, $400,000,000.00 a year for Trumper to fly to and from his Florida gaff for his weekend golden shower golf trips.

Well, every time the POTUS moves, there's always a cost associated - which is ridiculous. So yeah, I can imagine that.

First choice is in......

The scribbling I read was based on the cost of 4 trips, an average of spending every 2nd weekend in Mar-a-Lago, there fore 100'ish trips over his term. Average trip cost, all up around $3.9 million, times that by 100 and you have knocking on the door of $400 million.

Airliners and commercial aviation leaves me cold...

...unless that is they have manly lumps, bumps and weapons bays on them!

After a capabilities brief from our resident P8 driver recently, we came to the conclusion that it will make a great CAS platform once all the weapons are integrated.

Given we're only getting nine, I suspect your resident P-8 driver won't need to brush up on Air-Land Integration procedures for some considerable time...if ever!

Throwback to around 3 years ago April 2016 when Obama came in ...HMx-1 carried out a dress rehearsal 2 days before he arrived. Marine One and Two plus trio of Mv-2@B were at the ‘Hall , while the two VH-60N were at Northolt. So here are my photos from nice Tuesday afternoon of the entourage escorted by pair of NPAS London Airbus Helicopters H145 from the Hall to the London Heli Lanes and RTB.

Cheers

He'd be better off with an A380 (probably be able to pick one up cheap off Singapore Airways) and a couple of Leonardos...

USAF did express an interest in 380s as they met the main requirement for AF1 - four engines. The distinguished gentlemen of the congress quickly added a new requirement. The planes had to be built in America, for security reasons naturally and definitely not panic at the thought of losing the kickbacks on a 5 billion dollar contract.

Not worth building an Airbus factory in America for three planes so it was Boeing or Tupelov.

Trump should really take a lesson from our previous PM about economic flying. Here is Dave giving a keynote speech from the hangar when he went to visit troops in Afghanistan.

And Trump isn't shy about economising. Here's Barbara Bush being Flown to Washington for her husband's funeral.

So they could have built the A-380, flown them to America, take them apart, sell them to America in bits who could then pay Boeing to rebuild them for security reasons (and for kickback purposes).

Earlier that tuesday, I also Sw for the first time, his SS entourage arriving by a pair of Dover C-5M......so here are my photos.

Cheers

Now this is a manly aircraft - although you'd perhaps expect a bit to be cut off the front, not added to it?

Not worth a new thread but today my house was buzzed by a US Army Blackhawk , 2x chinook and Marine 1 and 2 followed by 2x UK Police choppers.
I then went to Eastleigh airport to pick up the missus and they all landed there just as I was parking.
No time for pics as by the time I had carried bags back to car and listened to how shit the DCOS flight was they had all taken off again.
Recce for D Day 75 I guess.

I saw and sat in of said CH-47F that you saw, at Paris Air Show month or so later (my photos below) . This one was part of a trio came over to support Trump visit ..carrying secret service. Think the Blackhawk you saw May have been VH-60N Whitehawk belonging to HMX-1.

The CH-47F belonged to 1st CAB, 1st Infantry Division deployed as part of Atlantic Resolve to Germany and spread out to Romania , Latvia, Lithuamia.

The bigger problem for the US is their Boeing C-32 757 better knowen as airforce 2, Which gets used by potus a lot, need to be replaced. They do not make that aircraft anymore, and their is no direct replacement in the boeing fleet at the moment. Do they go Airbus for a replacement?
