Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place but I'm trying to find out if the current age limit for officer recruitment (of before your 26th birthday) was in place in the late 90's or whether it was before your 29th birthday back then.
Any help really appreciated as I've failed spectacularly to find anything remotely definitive anywhere else.

The age limit was 29 until last May.
  3. Thank you so much - that's just what I needed to know. Really appreciate your help.
  4. Was raised to 29 in 2000, I know as it was the reason I joined at 28 as before that it was 26. As a result of the manning situation and probably too many claims against AFCS they put the age limit back to 26. Job done.
  5. Thank you so much! That makes what I am thinking completely plausible and helps me no end.
