    Afghan surge
BRITAIN is preparing to send up to 600 more troops to Afghanistan to bolster the 7,800-strong force fighting the Taliban, write Michael Smith and Andrew Wander.

The deployment of an extra infantry battalion follows pressure from America for more troops in southern Afghanistan.

They will be sent out in May, when the new British force led by paratroopers replaces the 52 Infantry Brigade. It will be the first time all the elements of the Parachute Regiment have fought in one theatre at the same time.

  2. I think you'll find these troops will do sod all 'reconstruction'...
  3. From the same article. 600 to Afghan and......

All you 3 star cadets out there.... get your kit ready, and watch some war films.
  4. Time to round up the Mitty Shock Army......... :D
  5. Is this NATO propaganda?

If the taliban think there will be ALL those soldiers on the ground, perhaps they won't attack? Along with the extra from the USMC, where will they house them all?

Along with the Balkans, is AQ doing some devide and conquer tactics?

I belive the G1098 is running out of good soldiers!
