Interesting article. Interesting to see a Mosin Nagant in the photo, I wonder how often these are encountered?

Excellent article. Too many lazy journalists simply drivel on about some Kipling-era myth of the godlike marksmanship of the Afghan (or other) shooter.

Really? I'd no idea that these were so prevalent in Afghanistan. Any idea as to the origin of them? Supplied to the Afghan communists in the 80s perhaps?

Anything old and Russian is pretty prolific. We had a few in the AO. One was used daily against our balloon. Until we killed the shit out of the firer.
