AFCS appeal

I’ve recently had a claim turned down because “at the time of the accident I was stood chatting to colleagues and not participating in activities in pursuance of service obligation”... at the time I was stood leaning on a cosh locker when it was slammed down on my hand, just wondering if many people had there first claim turned down and won there appeal
At what point was it turned down? By the AFCS panel or before that?

@dun_n_dusted had a similar experience I believe, he should be able to advise you.
Appeal the decision. That you were not engaged in activities in pursuance of a Service obligation is a wrong decision to make by veterans uk.

Consider this: if you had not attended work as your Service obligation required would the accident have happened? Therefore you were in pursuance of Service obligation by the simple fact of being at work.
