Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I recently saw this on PPRUNE and was amazed there is no equivalent here.......

Some very (correctly) strongly worded posts...

PPRUNE thread - Flying pay cut for AAC

What is going on at DAVVN......?

Its a simple matter of shifting the money where it is needed.

Its now going to the BATS, who actually do all the work.

    *runs like fuck*
  3. The BATS - who do all the what? Eh, you don't think that small amount of money will get redirected somewhere useful do you?

You mean do all the work as opposed to the frontline pilots getting shot at in Iraq/Afghanistan?

The funny thing is, the AAC pilots werent't even looking for parity with the RAF/RN....

I have never really understood the reason for the extra pay for peelots. After all, they join for the growbag and reflector sunglasses. Once they have them then why pay extra?

Nice bite. Crew room humour not your strong point then? :D

I actually agree with your complaint, you're getting screwed.

As for the crab next to me - the slop jocky in the fecking cookhouse is on the same money as a BAT, but I don't see him getting charged for serving up wank food.
  6. Auld-yin I think you may have finally reached my exalted status of social semtex...

  8. And Auld - do you know how much a new set of Oakleys is - it's a disgrace. We might have to wear Police..... by Beckham.

    No - I work for a living.
  10. Nice to see things never change, out 10 years and they are still mucking up flying pay.
    It isn't rocket science. :D
