Apparently one from the Turkish Air Force but not much else known at this time.
BBC claiming it's Spanish with all the casualties being Spanish.

Before the usual suspects leap in with the usual tosh about European defence projects, there is no indication yet as to whether it was crew error or aircraft related.

From the official Airbus website, the crash airplane was MSN023, a designate airplane for the Turkish Air Force.

On it's first (and as it turns out) last flight.

In the air for a few minutes at most.

3 out of 7 POB killed.

May they Rest in Peace.

Sounds like a jet doing flight trials for delivery to the Turkish AF with a Spanish crew.
I think you'd be better off referring to it as a Turbo-prop transport aircraft - rather than a jet.

A plane has crashed, people have died- why be pedantic; it serves no purpose?
Apologies if I came across as pedantic. The point of the post was to stop any "Chinese whispers" from starting with people going down the Boeing vs Airbus line of argument - which gets boring.

Along with the Pakistani helicopter crash yesterday, its a bad weekend for aviation. Tragic all round.

Very sad. This is the first fatal accident involving an A400M type. The aircraft had just departed from Seville's San Pablo airport where the Airbus Defense and Space’s final assembly line and flight test facility is based.

MSN23 was destined for the Turkish air force and had just completed ground testing prior to its first flight. The MOD has presently halted operations of the two A400’s operated by the Royal Air Force which were delivered to Brize Norton, in November 2014.

The ZM400 Atlas’s were the first of an intended 21 tactical air-lifters to augment, compliment then take over from the RAF C-130J's
