...several rabbis were also detained in the states of New York and New Jersey.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker said it had been "an unbelievable morning so far".

Cars were said to be backed up four deep with suspects outside the FBI's office in Newark, New Jersey's largest city.
...
synagogue in Deal, a seaside borough in New Jersey, which was reportedly raided by agents from the FBI, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and local prosecutors' office.
...
FBI agents escorted a rabbi from the synagogue into his office and blocked the doorway.

Agents also removed several boxes from the nearby yeshiva, a school that educates the children of Sephardic Jews, AP reported.

"Two mayors, rabbis and politicians are among some 30 people arrested in a major corruption and money-laundering investigation, say US authorities."

I suppose you think that the Met arresting young black men for shooting and stabbing each other is racist, don't you
British police is free from racism. In this case the black lads would be politely asked to stop behave this way and police cars would be delivered to transport them yo their homes.

'a wave of anti-criminalism in the US' would be more accurate.

then again, your colleagues under Uncle Joe could probably teach us all a thing or two about anti semitism now couldnt they?

For these defendants, corruption was a way of life,” Ralph J. Marra Jr., the acting United States attorney in New Jersey, said at a 12:30 p.m. news conference. “They existed in an ethics-free zone.”
...
Weysan Dun, the special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Newark office, said the rabbis arrested — including the grand rabbi of the Syrian Jewish community in the United States, Saul Kassin — were part of a vast money-laundering conspiracy with tentacles in Israel and Switzerland. Another person, Levy-Izhak Rosenbaum of Brooklyn, was accused of enticing vulnerable people to give up a kidney for $10,000 and then selling the body part for $160,000.
So the strike was made aginst top clerics, against spiritual leaders and even before the investigation is over such terrible allegations about organs trade have been 'leaked'. Don't you see some parallels with the Protocols of the Elders of Zion?

Mr. Dun emphasized that the case was motivated neither by religion nor by politicsˆ...
Of course. All anti-Semites use to say this phrase. If it is true then why it was needed to sound it?

There are allegations that American police is disproportionally attentive to some ethnic, racial and religous groups.

Crowley arrested Gates last week after a neighbor called police to say someone appeared to by trying to break into a home in broad daylight. In fact, Gates was returning from an overseas trip and couldn't get his locked front door to open.

When Crowley arrived and questioned whether Gates really lived in the home, Gates became upset and demanded his name and badge number so he could file a complaint.

"The gentleman refused to be cooperative and continued shouting that the Sgt. is racist police officer," the police report says.

Gates was charged with disorderly conduct and led away in handcuffs.
...
President Obama intensified the spotlight on the arrest of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. by saying Wednesday night that the police acted "stupidly" and citing what he called the nation's long history of racial profiling.
I believe that the policeman acted absolutely lawfully and the accusations in racism are absolutely groundless.

Aslo, for those who don't understand my irony: in most cases accusations in anti-Semitism are baseless as well (including one made by our friend Para-medic).
