A Very British Coup (Channel 4)

Just watched the above series, and well worth watching.
A Very British Coup - All 4

Perhaps more relevant today that when it was first written (1982) and then screened in 1988.
A reminder of the way things work, or perhaps don't !
Looking back on events over the last 30 years, one wonders if members of the establishment have watched it from time to time to get ideas.
The unexplained death of a government scientist being a prime example (David Kelly 2003).

Just watched all three episodes of a very British Coup......downloaded from the 'tinterweb.
I think I was beaten to it by Momentum and the other socialist halfwits that pervade our leadership. It was especially funny watching Lily Allen's dad, the 'socialist activist' fcukwit.
What made me laugh was that they (todays 'Labour' party) seem to be using this series on which to base the current Labour party manifesto......

As I recall it, in the original book the hardline Labour government survived a run on the pound, set up by the city and other opponents, by arranging substantial loans from its friends overseas: Saddam was one, without hunting through the loft I can't recall if the other donor was Qadafi or Asad.
