Interesting article. Could be said of many more units and nations than just the Green Berets of course. Although I appreciate that this is what this particular article is about.

But am I the only one to think that wearing of cammies at such an ocasion is a little ..................well, not quite right shall we say ?

Dogs, agreed, he could have worn something that involved a tie, at the very least.

Poor form, in my opinion, but perhaps it's a Brit thing.

I share your thoughts on this. The wearing of the BDU's for almost every occasion now days, seems to be the vogue. In my day the Class A uniform would have been the proper uniform for such an occasion.

I seldom ever see our military in the Class A uniform, when traveling, attending many functions, etc.

IMO, this is a mistake and takes away from the professionalism of the military.

In the years I served wearing fatigue and/or BDU's off post was forbidden, travel was either in civilian clothe's or Class A uniform.
