A Military documentary made by veterans - Birmingham university 28 February 2020

I wanted to share details of our screening of the Combat Stress 100 film, made to mark our centenary, which captures the stories of military veterans and is both directed and told by veterans. It highlights the lives of veterans who talk about basic training, front line fighting, developing post-traumatic stress disorder, and their enduring strength to rebuild their lives. The 60 minute long film will be preceded by a short introduction and followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

Places must be registered, but the screening is free and will take place between 4-6pm finishing with a Q&A with a local veteran and Peer Support Volunteer Mark Herbert - who featured in the film.

Please be aware this film contains some upsetting descriptions of combat and trauma-related events and describes the realities of living with mental health issues and isn't suitable for anyone under 16.

Further details of the event can be found at combatstress.org.uk/cs100 but if you have questions, please do let me know.
