"West Midlands Police's counter corruption unit began investigating Iqbal when colleagues became suspicious of his apparent wealth when he arrived at work in a Ferrari."

Poirot's got nothing on these guys.

Good, another ******** bite the dust.

Nothing topical in this then...

"Iqbal was asked by Nahiem Ajmal, a Birmingham religious leader, to get information from police computer systems on behalf of Sajad Khan, West Midlands Police said."

Not so much inside the tent pissing out, as pissing all over the tent from the inside...

Nice motor, though. Mind you, he could've been a bit more patriotic and bought an Aston...

have been less suspicious if he'd turned up for work like this.

Another gift to anti Muslims . Interesting that the earlier investigation
' West Midlands Mullah in corruption probe' gets neatly swept aside.

PC Iqbal, of Ward End Road, Birmingham, admitted misconduct in public office.

The 37-year-old had attempted to get unauthorised access to police intelligence systems for a friend. Iqbal was asked by Nahiem Ajmal, a Birmingham religious leader, to get information from police computer systems on behalf of Sajad Khan, West Midlands Police said.

Ajmal and Khan were both found guilty of misconduct in public office.

So.....is the respected community leader set to be prosecuted for bribing a serving officer or indeed offences under the Data Protection Act ?

Oh...hang on....shome concidence shurely? Er...

A religious studies teacher who works at a Birmingham school linked to the Trojan Horse controversy has appeared in court charged with possessing extreme pornography.

Nahiem Ajmal, 35, was arrested by officers from West Midlands Police, who later detained four other teaching staff and a youth worker in connection with the inquiry.

Ajmal teaches religious education at Park View, an academy in Alum Rock which is among a number of schools which have been linked to the Trojan Horse investigations

A bloke on my shift part owns a Ferrari with his dad who is a Major. Does that make him corrupt?

Nope, but maybe a bit naive. One of them will be the registered keeper and I suspect that unless all the paperwork is legally verified, in the event of a bust-up, the reg keeper wins.

And anyway, what the bloody hell is a Major doing purchasing an eye-tie rot box. Get a bloody Aston!!

(there's a theme developing here...)

Depends if he is a majority share owner and how much he paid doesn't it?

Not really as long as the money is lawful. I am about to sell my house and with the money that is going to go in my account I could afford to buy that car. Not that I would want to.

I know blokes that work nearly all their rest days and easily make up to £10 to £15 K a year in overtime. No private life and they are permanently knackered. My force would probably go under without people covering on rest days.

Not withstanding that this bloke was obviously corrupt.
