Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Has anyone seen a documentary called 'A Company of Soldiers'? I think it was shown on BBC Four about July 2006. It spend a month with US soldiers in South Baghdad and was apparently a brilliant documentary, showing it from the soldiers' perspective. It was shown on PBS in America, and was part of the Storyville series here in the UK.

  2. Yup but don't ask me who was involved etc because I watched it post pub but do recall it was worth watching.
  3. I believe it was on really late - a real shame it didn't get a wider audience from what I hear. Or a sober one!

    I think I taped it.I'll check later..
  5. I'm getting hold of a tape, thanks - I was really interested in people's views on it. If you find the tape, have a watch and let me know.

The producer has been in touch with me as he'd like to do something similar with British Forces.
