Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anyone now what A A Royal artillery units served in and around Scunthorpe In WW2 ???
  2. My Grandad was in an AA bty in Scunthorpe during WW 2, from what I can remember him telling me they were then transferred up to a very small village in Northumberland called Hedley on the Hill, which overlooked Newcatle, Id be interested in hearing what Bty it was,
  3. Ive contacted a friend who is an RA historian, he may be able to help
