Slow progress - tail just about finished. No time cause of the world thing and grief from the mrs on how much time the Spad is taking:)

I’m 90% there on the under surfaces. another couple of goes and I should be ready to get the oil and smoke on the underside and upper surfaces

Former B-52 Stratofortress pilot Capt. Richard Drury called his A-1 “a time machine. … It carried nearly 40 gallons of oil, most of which wound up on the aircraft surfaces and on the pilots. It also burned about 100 gallons an hour of fuel. For all that, it barely went three miles a minute with an ordnance load. But speed was a relative thing and had lost all its importance in the sort of war we would be in.” Agility, not speed, would be the Skyraider’s best defense over Vietnam.

it’s going to get a bit oily!

Fcuking hell this has been a build of epic proportions......

A simple ‘like’ isn’t enough

thank you. I’m glad you are enjoying the build.

I’m calling the upper surfaces done now, so it’s time to move onto the under surfaces to finish the fuselage. Then I can varnish it.

here’s what it looks like at the end of play. It’s getting close now. Few more days and it’s onto the Cromwell for a break from
Planes, then................
