Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. With the youngest of the Normandy Veterans now about 84 years old. The 65th Anniversary will be upon us in 9/10weeks time.

It is unlikely that there will be many Sapper Veterans around to celebrate the 70th Anniversary.
Are the Royal Engineers doing anything to remember the young Sappers that gave their all, for our land, our society, Freedom and all that we hold dear?

  2. The veterans are handing over to the cadets and there are goind to be loads of the cadets engineers there. but i am not quite sure if the british army sappers are doing anything

  3. Swordman, get yourself along to the Army v Navy Rugby in May and you'll be able to meet and talk to Sappers down the years, many serving who will be able to tell you what might be planned for the 65th Anniversary...

  4. of course this will depend if they can string any kind of understandable sentence together by the time they have been to The Corps tent. :D :D :D :D
