Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anyone know of anywhere that still sells 60 pattern combats?

  2. Green Combats ehh?

    very retro!!!

  3. Are they the ones that had the stitched collar and field dressing pocket on the trousers, if so may have some in my loft, I was a 32 inch waste skinny git when they were worn though. PM me

They certainly are. See here for piccies and descriptions: uniformv2

Note that they came in Olive and later 66 Pattern 'DP'.

Still got an olive jacket for gardening in. Cost 6/- on Doncaster market. My Dad made me cut the Cpl's stripes off because I hadn't earned them.

  6. Saber sales in southsea can set you up with them, and the 58 pattern is you are that way inclined.

  7. Remember being issued with the green combats when we were Demo Bn in Warminster and wearing them along with helmets with covers removed when playing enemy for School of Inf exercises. Nice and warm but bloody heavy when wet.
