  1. 6 Regiment Army Air Corps (Volunteers) formed up on 2 July 2006 at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The Regiment is based around a Regimental Headquarters (RHQ), two Ground Crew Squadrons and a Support Squadron.

    The RHQ and Support Squadron are based at Bury St Edmunds with the Squadron Headquarters of 677 (Suffolk and Norfolk Yeomanry) Squadron Army Air Corps. The latter also have Flights located at Norwich, Swaffham and Bury St Edmunds.

    655 (Scottish Horse) Squadron Army Air Corps is currently based within the Army Aviation Centre, located at Middle Wallop, Hampshire.
