500 Years of the Stafford Knot Weekend

    If you're looking for something to do this coming bank holiday may I recommend coming and laughing at us walting through the ages. Also present will be Hamilcar bear, raising money for help them out / holidays for hero's

    The Event in General
    The event is celebrating 500 years of marching under the Stafford Knot emblem. This takes us some 200 years earlier than the Staffordshire Regiment was formed. The museum should have 8 of the regiment’s 13 Victoria Crosses on display in the museum and hopefully Watchman IV the Regiment mascot will be making an appearance.

    Groups present over the course of the weekend are:

    •Buckingham’s Retinue – 15th Century
    •Lace Wars – 18th Century Cavalry
    •47th Foot – 18th Century American Revolutionary War
    •19th Foot – Crimean War
    •11th Hussars – Crimean War Cavalry
    •80th Stafford Volunteers – Zulu War
    •Birmingham Pals – World War 1
    •B.A.R.S – South Stafford Airborne of World War 2

    Is this really Staffordshire Regiment and if so where and when?

    It looks more like it would be in the Falklands and as I recall, Staffords weren't present. :?
     
  3. Its not my web page, its the event organisors web page and I suspect as they are just organisors they have just gathered a load of pictures they think are apt for the event. I'm sure theres a contact link on the site if you want to ask them.
