If this was to do with the Football Championship title, then the deaths would have been in Virginia Water, Bangkok or Pago Pago.

Am I the only one who finds these English names in American towns confusing. Driving down a road where you get Cambridge, Brighton, Wakefield, Reading, Manchester and Gloucester in that order. Can't they rename them after Nascar Winners or something? There's no town in Britain called Kasey Kayne Jr the Third

I am reminded of the time just after the Hungerford shootings. It was little reported in Britain due to "not fitting the agenda" of the lefty/mainstream media. A man in France decided to go on the rampage in the same Hungerford-style manner, he shot up some home or other, then went down the road firing at anything of his choice. A French peasant looked out his window, saw what was going on, picked up his hunting rifle and shot the criminal dead on the spot.

I wonder why this topical, contemporary story was not more widely reported in Britain at the time?

Such stories do not fit the "template" of course.

They're not noted for needing a proper reason
I would hazard a guess to say that very few of those in jolly olde England who murder others with guns, knives or all manner of other weapons have "proper reasons" either. In fact, I would go so far as to say that is the case around the world in the case of murder and is not the sole province of America.

I was talking about the Scouse Grief Whores. I know paying attention isn't something the colonies are noted for, but please try and make an effort when joining in
