  1. Hi
I’m interested in joining the TAs 5 Military Intelligence Battalion (V) in a few months time. However before making a decision I thought I would try and gather some information on what the job entails. While iv read accounts of historical intelligence operations ( ULTRA, Operation Bodyguard, Operation Barclay, T. E. Lawrence ect) I would assume such important matters would be handled by the regular army.
So what would I be doing as a TA int operator or officer, with a specialism in human intelligence, in training and on tour(within the confines of what is allowed to be posted on the internet of course)?
    Thanks for the help
  2. Best bet is give them a call and pop in for a chat.
  3. Eh? are you saying you already have such specialist skills or that's what you think you will be doing?
None of those questions can be answered by these means and the sad fact is you won't even get a proper job description until you are trade qualified and have obtained the appropriate vetting however as to what is and isn't a TA role; there are very few opportunities (if any)that are available to the regular Corps that are not available to volunteers. I would suggest that you speak to the Coy as the previous poster has suggested and update your reading material.
