Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My nephew deployed to Nadi Ali with 45 Cdo in mid-April. Within a week he and approximately 20 others were sent back to Arbroath due to over-manning.

If thats not a ****-up on a grand scale I dont know what is.
  2. Just heard the same on BFBS, so they may have got it right for once.
  3. I've read somewhere this represents the extra 500(ish) troops we had in theatre (up to 10,000 instead of 9,500) as part of the ARRC deployment, the Rockapes in KAF and the personel who have been setting up BSN to becoming the hub of Ops for Britfor. None of them needed, thus coming home. The government has also said "this is not a new announcement" or words to that effect.
