42 Engineer Regiment, can geographic technicians do P coy or AACC?

I'm applying to join the Royal Engineers as a Geographic Technician (42 Engineer Regiment) and am unsure as to whether I would be able to end up as part of 23 Para or 24 Cdo if i did the required courses? I understand that soldiers in the Royal Engineers can also become part of a recce unit when experienced enough but as this is a very specialised role I'm unsure. Would appreciate anyone with knowledge or experience of this area thanks.

You could write direct to 42 Survey Regiment to see if they have parachute or commando trained personnel who support 16 Air Assault Brigade or 3 Commando Brigade RM. For example 33 EOD Regiment RE had its own Para and Commando trained troops as part of the regiment seperate from 23 or 24. Survey was always a very specialised part of the Royal Enginers seperate from the mainstream.
