Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. anyone know how much this equates to after tax etc???
  2. Chris,

Go and speak to one of your RAO staff. They have all of this info to hand.

  3. I think there is a halt on the commitment bonus as from 27 may. I could be wrong.
  4. You are wrong, you are thinking about the FRI.
  5. Army Soldier - A job so sh1t they'll pay you more just to stay.
  6. Yep thats the one :)
  7. You should take roughly 1/3rd off to account for Tax and NI, wait untik your 8 year point and get £15K :D
  8. Yeah, but can they justify it any longer? I've a feeling that this incentive may just disappear in the near future. Personally I think it would make sense to remove it. It's not like the Army is short of recruits to fill the gaps created by those who wish to leave. If indeed, they do reintroduce MCPs as discussed on a separate thread, how can they justify holding on to retention bonuses?
  9. finally got round to signing for this last month, about the 21st

anyone know when the payrun for this is, and when i should see it in the bank?
  10. About half past twelve on the 27th of November
  11. cheers ...........
  12. around 2,700 or 2,800.
