My client a world leading engineering company currently has a range of projects, including: new sports arenas and stadiums, expansion and reconfiguration of existing buildings, new leisure facilities, education premises and buildings of historic importance. They provide fire engineering design and risk assessment services worldwide. They are currently seeking a Fire Associate to join their senior team in Bath.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Project Management

Lead single and multi-discipline projects on behalf of the group
Prepare and take responsibility for engineering solutions for detail design, as required including technical / quality / financial / risk / health and safety and learning opportunities.
Prepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications of colleagues.

 
Marketing

Seek/win new work
Prepare Financial and Technical submissions/proposals, attending interviews
Develop own client relationships
Work with other company management to develop existing client relationships
Contribute to client-wide initiatives with respect to technical development / market sectors and processes

 
People Management

Manage Team of Discipline staff and identify training needs/performance issues: should refer to Performance Management specifically
Commitment to CPD and self learning / development
Creating a sense of team belonging within the framework of the group
Strategic assessment of the teams strengths and needs over the long term
Liaison with Associate Director/Group Director to ensure latest learning and development initiatives are implemented as required within the team

 
Financial Management
Effective financial monitoring of projects / budgets
 
Job Requirements
 
Qualifications:

Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer

Or

Bachelors degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters degree in Engineering (MEng) and working towards chartership, with ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of experience and competence.
