Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello everyone. I'm 38 with a Bsc. degree, a post graduate certificate in adult education and a boring job that has nothing to do with my qualifications. What do you think my chances are of being an opmi in the T.A.?

I'm fairly fit, have a bit of a dodgy knee from lots of grappling and b.j.j. but I'm ok apart from that.

Could I ask (cynically) if once I had joined the T.A., regardless of what I eventually had specialised and trained in, would I be mobilised as infantry / front line anyway or are you only mobilised to work in your specialist role ?

    thanks for your time. :D
  2. Have a look in the Int Corps Forum about how to go about joining. If you join the TA in a specialist role you will mobilise in that role.
