    My Client is a national and international expert in Critical Infrastructure protective security, using a developed methodology to address all aspects of security planning, and are currently looking for a Technical Security Consultant to be based in Oman.
    Key Responsibilities

    To conduct process analyses and vulnerability assessments for large scale infrastructure projects.
    To work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate into a basis for design.
    To produce detailed design and costing for required physical and electronic security solutions, particularly in the areas of perimeter security, access control and building protection systems.
    To produce specifications and associated documents ready for tender and to provide bid analysis and evaluations.
    To conduct quality assurance and performance testing during subsequent installation and commissioning of systems.
    To keep fully abreast of all the latest technological advances in the security market.

    Essential skills:
    The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience and achievement in the following areas:

    Integrated security systems design, including CCTV, lighting, internal and external intruder detection, access control, barriers, analogue and digital transmission systems, control, monitoring and recording equipment.
    Producing performance specifications and related design reports.
    Familiarity with security equipment and installation standards.
    Awareness of technological developments in the security market.
    Working on large scale projects across a range of facility types and industries.
    Ability to engage effectively with large organisations and understand complex stakeholder requirements.

    Desirable Skills:
    Experience in the following areas would also be advantageous:

    Critical infrastructure sectors including oil and gas, electricity and power generation, water, aviation, and rail systems.
    IP-based security systems, network architectures, building management systems and technical integration.
    Control Room design and ergonomics.
    Security risk assessment methods
    CAD drawing skills, ability to interpret architectural and electronic drawings.
    Knowledge of CT measures including vehicle mitigation, blast and ballistic protection.
    Qualifications in electronic engineering and security.
