33141 Sergeant Edward Melluish - Royal Field Artillery

Just after a bit of help from the Gunners here lads.

One of the lads at work brought in a photo of a certificate that a relative had been awarded in WW1.

It was the Medaille Militaire of the Legion D'Honneur, awarded to

33141 Sergeant Edward Melluish of the Royal Field Artillery.

Would there be anything in Artillery Records to list a citation for this award. Was it the kind of award that earned a citation. The family rumour is that he received for saving three French soldiers from no mans land.

Any pointers gratefully received.

Does it give a time and place for the actions which he carried out?
