3000 Beers "uchoose" Competition - Call to Arms

Newsletter subscribers will have seen this, a great chance for a ready-paid event and a 'no-brainer':

"Our sponsor, Towergate Wilsons, has launched a summer competition for units in the Armed Forces. The idea is simple: service personnel, and their spouses, vote for their unit before the 31 Oct 09 and the unit with the most votes wins 3000 beers.

They are running two categories of prizes; 3000 beers for the winning major unit (established strength over 200) and 1000 beers for the minor unit (established strength 200 or less) and will deliver to any UK address (or UK military base in Germany) on a day of your choosing.

Click here to register your vote!"

The problem: RAF Coningsby is currently in a close second place and climbing and there are still plenty of units without any votes. Dry? Alcohol free? I think not, so please spread the word! I would be an unhappy Good CO if ARRSE's sponsor had to give 3000 pints to the RAF!
Nice idea! Not in this case but I've asked them to watch this thread though so you never know for the future. The marketing director is recently retired Army and very supportive of the site (I hope you're reading this :) ).
RAF are now officially in the lead. 3000 free beers going to the RAF. Come on folks - this cannot be allowed to happen.

If you've no other favourite please vote for 1RRF

Trouble is that it's not a charity so I doubt they would be able to go for it. Worth a try though!
If everyone here put it down, they might throw a few coins that way.

Would this thread get more exposure if it was moved to the naafi?

Bumped back to page one. I can't believe that the RAF are going to win free beer when there are plenty of guy's and gal's on here who could make sure the Army get it.

When it asks, you are with 1RRF. That way the vote goes to them and not the RAF.

Also, if enough people ask, we may even get them to give a few pounds to Hols4Heroes. ;)
