  1. Hello all.

I am currently at my 1st posting since qualifying (a MDHU). I want a primary health as my 2nd posting. If i put this on my posting pref is this likely to be a waste as I will be going to a field unit and it would be more worth while requesting one that I would want to go to rather than get what I'm given as I've only requested Primary Health.

    Help. Thanks
  2. You will need to see your military boss and go through the process of getting yourself into primary health. There is a little more to these things than simply putting in a posting preference. Make sure your next CR has you future wishes detailed in it - MCM may look at this when deciding where to post people.

    Good luck.
  3. Hi there, you may also consider speaking to your NEA and start enquiring about Public Health/ Primary Health Care courses. The NEA will say you are apllying to soon but it is always worth letting the powers that be kno who you are and what you want to do, also try getting some experience in PHC at while at your pesent MDHU, any problems then you could consider using military protected time to gain valuable experience. Good luck and stick to your guns!!!!
  4. I'm led to believe that unless you are very special and have very special circumstances, most of us will have a field unit as our second posting. To have anything else would mean them making exceptions, and they're not in the habit of doing that.
You could apply for a specialist course like A+E but seeing as how your nursing portfolio hasn't left it's MFO box since you left Birmingham you'd have a lot of catching up to do first.
Also, I can't believe you're going off swanning around on a hospex and you expect me to do your night duties for you. When have I ever done that to you? It's downright rude if you ask me. :threaten:
  5. You need a field unit and an operational tour (as a qualified nurse, regardless of however many tours you did as a clerk/driver/HCA/Infanteer/etc) before you slip into a nice Med Centre or MRS. Go to a field unit and apply for the course once you are there, show willing.
 IT WILL MAKE OR BREAK YOU!!!!
  7. as primrose and humble have advised

use your local chain of command,

    and then chat with NEA

but unless you are very special, stand by for a life in C95
