Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/onthefrontline/3332417/Exclusive-SAS-chief-quits-over-negligence-that-killed-his-troops.html

  2. This is disgusting. One life is too many, epsecially when it comes down to being given equipment not fit for service, by the people who sent you out there in the first place. I wonder if members of our goverment used them when they were out in sandy places.
  3. :D :D

Serious hat on: a predictable consequence of failing to pre-empt the need for better vehicles and relying on the UOR system to obtain them instead
  4. Seems a weird time for this, in the same week the MoD announce over £500 million worth of new vehicles being bought, is this an old story?
  5. Maybe a matter of principle? Can belated actions make up for past inactions and their consequences?
  6. The timing of the MoD announcement of the new vehicles had, of course, nothing to do with a bit of good PR to coincide with the Poppy season.
  7. Agood week to bury bad news?
  8. Brave man. Ballsy to out himself.

Do we think it will make much difference?

What will the coroner have to say?

When does the board of inquiry sit?
